Christine Schmitz is a wife, mother of two, and communications consultant. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Florida and a BA in Journalism from Temple University. Her original work in poetry and short fiction has appeared in national and international literary journals. She has written and edited patent applications, technical publications, advertising copy, and church and worship content. She has taught English composition, technical writing, and poetry at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, University of Florida, and Santa Fe College. She was also a writer and editor for a New York Times syndicated daily newspaper in Independence, KS.
Christine helps high school students organize and write their college essays. She provides this service, as well as professional writing and editing, through her Prompted Writing Agency. She is also the managing editor for MakingChips.
