Heart to mouth

Here’s what I’m learning about sin. It manages to kick my butt by:

shortening the distance between my heart and my mouth

when

I am harboring resentful, angry, selfish, (fill in the blank), thoughts in my heart.

Say this: Whatever is in here (point to your heart) comes out here (point to your mouth).

I guarantee it.

HOWEVER, if you “remain in Jesus” (see John 15:5) you will find that your mouth becomes a conduit for the love in your heart. How wonderful!
